Figure CRF4.4 shows the average reading performance of year four students in Tonga by gender. On average, year four girls (465.55, SD = 54.67) scored higher than year four boys (443.45, SD = 55.96) in reading. This is similar to the 2015 and 2018 PILNA cycles, when year four girls scored higher than year four boys in reading performance.
