The average numeracy strand performance for grade five students in Papua New Guinea is shown in Figure CNF5.3 There was little variation in the average scores of the numeracy strands, which shows that this grade five cohort had consistent performance across the four numeracy strands. This also means that the overall numeracy score for this grade five cohort was not disproportionately affected by any single strand’s score.
