The average numeracy strand performance for grade three students in Papua New Guinea is shown in Figure CNF3.3. The average scores in each of the numeracy strands are similar. This shows that the 2021 grade three cohort had consistent performance across all numeracy strands. This also means that the overall numeracy score for this grade three cohort – the average of the strand scores – was not disproportionately affected by any single strand’s score.
