Roughly equal numbers of grade five students are enrolled in government (47%) and non-government (53%) schools.  Figure CNF5.5 shows the average performance of grade five students by school authority.  Students in non-government schools and students in government schools showed comparable performance in the overall numeracy domain and the numeracy strands. This is similar to their performance in numeracy in 2015 and 2018, as seen in Figure CNF5.5.1.
