Year 4 Reading performance by school locality
Most year four students who had their performance analysed in the PILNA 2021 reading assessment were enrolled in non-urban schools: 82% in non-urban schools and 18% in urban schools.
Figure CRF4.6 shows the average reading performance of year four students by school locality. Those in urban schools achieved higher results than those in non-urban schools. This is similar to the 2018 and 2015 PILNA cycles (Figure CRF4.7).
