Year 6 Reading performance by school authority
Most year six students who had their performance analysed in the PILNA 2021 reading assessment were enrolled in government schools: 76% in government schools and 24% in non-government schools.
Figure CRF6.5 shows the average performance of year six students by school authority. Students in government schools showed higher reading performance than those in non-government schools. This is consistent with the two previous PILNA cycles, 2015 and 2018 (Figure CRF6.6).
