The average numeracy strand performance for year four students in Tuvalu is shown in Figure CNF4.3. The average scores in most of the numeracy strands were similar. The exception was the ‘Measurement & Geometry’ strand, which had a higher average score than the other strands. This means that the overall numeracy score for this year four cohort – the average of the strand scores – may have been disproportionately affected by the ‘Measurement & Geometry’ score.
