Grade 7 Writing performance by school authority
Most grade seven students who participated in the PILNA 2021 writing assessment in Palau were enrolled in government schools: 83% were enrolled in government schools and 17% in non-government schools.
Figure CWF7.5 shows the writing performance of grade seven students by school authority, government and non-government, over time. In 2021, students in non-government schools scored higher (544) than students in government schools (533) and, as seen in Figure CWF7.6, students in PILNA 2015 and PILNA 2018 in non-government schools scored higher than students in government schools. In the past three PILNA cycles, students in non-government schools have consistently scored higher in writing than students in government schools.
