Grade 7 Reading performance by school locality
Most grade seven students who participated in the PILNA 2021 reading assessment in Palau were enrolled in urban schools; 79% of students were enrolled in urban schools and 21% in non-urban schools.
Figure CRF7.7 shows the performance of grade seven students by school locality, urban and non-urban, over time. In 2015 and 2021, there were no differences in average reading performance between students in urban schools and students in non-urban schools, see Figure CRF7.8. In 2018, however, students in urban schools scored higher than students in non-urban schools.
