Grade 7 Writing performance by gender
A roughly equal number of grade seven girls and boys in Palau had their performance analysed in the PILNA 2021 writing assessment: 55% girls and 45% boys.
Figure CWF7.3 shows the average writing performance of grade seven students in Palau by gender in PILNA 2021. The grade seven girls (542.49, SD = 28.64) scored higher in the average writing performance than did the grade seven boys (525.04, SD = 30.09) in 2021 and they also scored higher, on average, than grade seven boys in 2015 and 2018, see Figure CWF7.4.
