Grade 5 Writing performance by gender
A roughly equal number of grade five girls and boys in Marshall Islands had their performance analysed in the PILNA 2021 writing assessment: 51% girls and 49% boys.
Figure CWF5.3 shows the average writing performance of grade five students in Marshall Islands by gender. On average, grade five girls (500.38, SD = 47.94) scored higher than grade five boys (483.01, SD = 46.67) in 2021 and also in 2015 and 2018, Figure CWF5.4.
