Grade 5 Writing performance by gender
A roughly equal number of grade five girls and boys in Federated States of Micronesia had their performance analysed in the PILNA 2021 writing assessment: 49% grade five girls and 51% grade five boys.
Figure CWF5.3 shows the average writing performance of grade five students in Federated States of Micronesia by gender. On average, grade five girls scored higher (480.07, SD = 69.23) than grade five boys (466.34, SD = 66.86). Grade five girls also scored higher, on average, than grade five boys in writing performance in 2015 and 2018, Figure CWF5.4.
