Year 4 Writing performance by gender
A slightly unequal number of year four girls and boys in Niue had their performance analysed in the PILNA 2021 writing assessment: 43% girls and 57% boys.
Figure CWF4.3 shows the average writing performance of year four students in Niue by gender. On average, year four girls (526.59, SD = 34.02) scored slightly higher than year four boys (521.82, SD = 43.51). They also scored higher, on average, than year four boys in writing performance in 2015 and 2018 (Figure CWF4.4).
