More than 7 out of 10 year six students are enrolled in government schools in Cook Islands. Figure CRF6.5 shows the average performance of year six students by school authority. Students in non-government schools showed higher reading performance than those in government schools. This is consistent with the two previous PILNA cycles, Figure CRF6.6.
