Year 4 Writing performance by gender
A roughly equal number of year four girls and boys in Tokelau had their performance analysed in the PILNA 2021 writing assessment: 45% girls and 55% boys.
Figure CWF4.3 shows the average writing performance of year four students in Tokelau by gender. On average, year four girls (515) scored higher than year four boys (479). They also scored higher, on average, than year four boys in writing performance in 2015 and 2018, as can be seen in Figure CWF4.4.
