Year 6 Writing performance by gender
A roughly equal number of year six girls and boys in Tokelau had their performance analysed in the PILNA 2021 writing assessment: 48% girls and 52% boys.
Figure CWF6.3 shows the average writing performance of year six students in Tokelau by gender in PILNA 2021. On average, year six girls (563.78, SD = 41.68) scored higher in writing performance than did year six boys (552.51, SD = 35.43). Year six girls also scored higher, on average, than year six boys in writing performance in 2015 and 2018, as can be seen in Figure CWF6.4.
