Year 6 Reading performance by gender
A roughly equal number of year six girls and boys in Tokelau had their performance analysed in the PILNA 2021 reading assessment: 15 girls and 16 boys.
Figure CRF6.3 shows the average reading performance of year six students in Tokelau by gender. On average, year six girls (556) scored higher than year six boys (529) in PILNA 2021. This was consistent with their performance in the 2015 and 2018 PILNA cycles, when, on average, year six girls scored higher than year six boys.
