The average numeracy strand performance for year six students in Fiji is shown in Figure CNF6.3. There was little variation in the average scores of the numeracy strands, which shows that this cohort had consistent performance across the four numeracy strands. This also means that the overall numeracy score for this cohort was not disproportionately affected by any single strand’s score. The highest average score was in the ‘Measurement & Geometry’ strand (556) and the lowest was in the ‘Operations’ strand (537).
