The average numeracy strand performance for year four students in Fiji is shown in Figure CNF4.3. The average scores in each of the strands were similar. This shows that the 2021 year four cohort had consistent performance across all numeracy strands. It also means that the overall numeracy score for this cohort – the average of the strand scores – was not disproportionately affected by any single strand’s score. The highest average score was in the ‘Measurement & Geometry’ strand (492) and the lowest was in the ‘Operations’ strand (478).
